So this afternoon I made some vases. Only they were really just jars that I spray-painted. I will post a tutorial not because you need it, but because I feel smart if I post one. And I wanted to share some pictures!
**EDIT**
I forgot to post the tutorial...LOL. So, anyways, here it is, step by step.
Step 1. Find some old jars. That part should be simple. :)
Step 2. Tape a line on the jar with masking tape. At least, I used masking tape. You don't have to , but it's thicker, so you won't be as likely to get an overspray. I did mine about 1/2 way up.
Step 3. Spray paint it, trying to not pass up the line. (duh) Then, once you're done (try to not wait too long before you do this, it's hard to do this once the paint starts to dry up so it's sticky), run over it with a paintbrush. You don't HAVE to, but that's the way I did it and I like how it looks.
Step 4. Wait for it to dry. Add accessories!
(By the way, I was really surprised/pleased these turned out the way they did. My crafts NEVER (literally never) turn out good. And I did one before this, and once I got to the part where I put the flowers in it, I dropped it. : / Cracked all to pieces. I was upset, but not surprised. Once I did the second batch I made sure to be very careful with them and do them in the grass.) :)
And some "Behind the scene" pictures...

Wow, those are SUPER pretty, Leah!!! I love them! Did you make that up yourself??? It looks professional! :P
ReplyDeleteAnd... LOL! I love your 'behind the scenes' pictures!!! Ha ha ha! :D
